Autism Toolbox a resource for Scottish Schools

Advanced Training Materials.E-learning materials commissioned in response to a Government recommendation, following the Lamb Inquiry (2009). They are designed to support teachers in mainstream schools who wish to gain advanced and specialist skills. This unit looks at the various people within your school and from external agencies who may come into regular contact with a pupil with autism.

Learning Resource on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) - This resource is designed for any professional who is working in the health care system at the primary care level (eg General Practitioner; Allied Health Professionals (eg dieticians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, podiatrists and speech and language therapists), Dentists, Opticians, Public Health Nurses; District Nurses; Practice Nurses; and Dental nurses). This site provides access to key topics, case studies, scenarios, a glossary and a range of leaflets on ASD.

The NHS Education for Scotland: Autism Training Framework -  Optimising Outcomes A framework for all staff working with people with Autism Spectrum Disorders, their families and carers.The framework is not prescriptive, but its clarity and breadth of scope should facilitate individual employees, service providers and organisations to understand the knowledge and skills required and how this applies to their practice.
