Personal Transitions

The learning and development of all children on the autism spectrum will be uneven and idiosyncratic, having a dramatic and often unexpected impact on personal transitions throughout the lifespan. In particular, areas of social communication, social interaction and flexibility of thought/social imagination will have a significant impact. ASD is a developmental disorder and therefore developmental life transitions may be out of step with typical development.
