Across Scotland there is variation in the referral routes, pathways and professionals involved in diagnosis.

Within Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) it is noted that

"In the process of diagnosis............. although the research evidence is limited, there is support for the use of multiagency or multidisciplinary teams.’

Every Health Board or authority will have its own pathways to diagnosis."

We provide examples from  authorities, Dumfries and Galloway, Fife and West Lothian
